| Stella Gordin, MD, is an Associate Pathologist/Cytopathologist at St. Vincent's Comprehensive Cancer Center (SVCCC) in New York City. A board certified pathologist and cytopathologist, Dr. Gordin has been at SVCCC since 2006.
In her role at SVCCC, Dr. Gordin works with breast oncologists and surgeons performing fine needle aspiration biopsies and examining the results to identify patients' breast cancer type and stage.
Among her many accomplishments, Dr. Gordin has written articles published in both the Student Journal of Cell Biology and "Student Medical News." Dr. Gordin also spoke at the 24th International Congress of the International Academy of Pathology in October 2002.
Dr. Gordin has been very involved in cancer research, participating in research for various types of cancers and cancer techniques. She has been actively involved with the Ackerman Academy of Dermapathology since 2002, researching melanoma, melanosarcoma and melanocarcinoma.
Dr. Gordin graduated from Minsk State Medical Institute in Minsk, Belarus and completed her internship at City Children Hospital in Minsk. She was awarded a fellowship in oncologic surgical pathology from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, as well as a fellowship in cytology from Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
Dr. Gordin resides in Staten Island.
