William A. Cook, MD, is an attending physician in the Medical Oncology department at St. Vincent's Comprehensive Cancer Center (SVCCC) in New York City. Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Cook has been at SVCCC since 1996.
Dr. Cook graduated from Dr. Nicanor Reyes Institute of Medicine at Far Eastern University in the Republic of the Philippines. He completed his internship at The Brooklyn Hospital - Cumberland Hospital. He then completed a year of residency in Rehabilitation Medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital before returning to Brooklyn where he completed his medical residency at The Brooklyn Hospital- Caledonian Hospital. Dr. Cook was awarded two fellowships, one in Hematology and one in Medical Oncology, from St. Vincent's Hospital & Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. He took his pre-medical courses at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City.
Prior to becoming a doctor, Dr. Cook received a Masters Degree In Social Work From New York University and worked first in the Foster Home Division of the Jewish Child Care Association of New York and subsequently in the Social Service Department of St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York.
Dr. Cook resides in New York City.
